The Poodle Guide is an independent knowledge base about toy poodles and every other poodle size, available in five languages. We started as toypoedel.nl, one of the leading Dutch websites about the breed, and built this international edition so poodle lovers everywhere can rely on the same honest, practical information.

How we work

  • Honest first. We describe the downsides of the breed as openly as the upsides — including what a dog really costs and who this breed is not for.
  • Welfare over sales. We consistently warn against puppy mills, "teacup" marketing and impulse buying, and we always point readers towards responsible, health-tested breeders.
  • Localised, not translated. Prices, laws and kennel-club rules differ per country. Each language edition of this site is adapted to its own market and reviewed by our editorial team before publication.

The Poodle Guide is published by Gemini Marketing (Nijmegen, the Netherlands) and maintained by a small editorial team. Our Dutch sister site is toypoedel.nl.
